Baku Yumemakura embraces self-publishing for Volume 1 of the best-selling series “The Psyche Diver,” which has sold more than 4.8 million copies in Japan, and is distributing it as an e-book targeting English speaking countries.
Scheduled for launch on October 22nd through the Amazon Kindle Bookstore outside of Japan, followed by release on the Apple iBookstore. Bikoo, LLC has partnered with Baku Yumemakura to provide translation, authoring, and branding support.
“As an author, I have already made the decision to digitally publish my Japanese works. Basically, I will rely on publishing companies with which I have relationships. However, I am still searching for a solution to publish digital translations of my works. Up to now, I have yet to draw a conclusion as to the best way to move forward. As a humble attempt, I have decided to release volume one of “The Psyche Diver” series in cooperation with Bikoo, LLC. I believe this is the first time in Japan that an author has paid the translation fees and distributed the translated e-books in partnership with U.S. company. I hope you will follow the release with warm thoughts and look forward to your continued support.” - Baku Yumemakura
